Employment Specialist include: Recruiters, Placement Specialists, Employment Service Providers, Job Developers, Job Club Facilitators, Employment Marketing Specialist, Job Coaches, Job Fair Promoters and Career Advisers, Certified Case Managers (CCMC), Certified Disability Management Specialists (CDMS), Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC), Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialists (CVE)

VECAA is an independent agency dedicated to improving the quality of services provided by Employment Specialist. Employment Specialist
assist those that are seeking employment, re-employment, job seeking skills training and career advancement by:

- Providing leadership in advocating for employment specialist
VECAA sets the standard for employment specialist through its certification program. Certified Employment Specialist are trained to assist Employers hire competent and dependable employees. Certified Employment Specialist assist job seekers secure viable employment.
Certified employment specialist designations indicate a standard level of specialized education and training. VECAA certificants/candidates adhere to the Code of Professional Ethics for Employment Specialist.
VECAA is committed to the continuous improvement and updating of the research which forms the foundation of the VECAA examination, as well
as the techniques used to validate the exam through its administration.
The certification process is built upon 30 years of study of the competencies and job functions that are vital to the employment providers performance.
VECAA offers training programs and courses for Employment Specialist and candidates to enhance their knowledge base and improve the services
